Brambilla e Gelmini: presentato l'accordo sui viaggi d'istruzione
I due ministeri varano un progetto congiunto per le scuole
Riscoprire i luoghi storici del Risorgimento italiano nell'ambito delle celebrazioni per il 150* dell'Unità d'Italia. Con questo obiettivo il ministro dell'Istruzione, Mariastella Gelmini e il ministro del Turismo, Michela Vittoria Brambilla hanno presentato, oggi a Palazzo Chigi, il protocollo d'intesa che avvia il progetto "Dai Mille a un milione di studenti alla scoperta dell'Unita' d'Italia".
Per il progetto, ha detto la Gelmini - sono stati stanziati 6 milioni di euro". Gli studenti, ha proseguito il ministro dell'Istruzione, "prima di appassionarsi alla storia di altri Paesi dovrebbero conoscere prima la nostra storia e i nostri luoghi".
L'iniziativa ha inoltre l'obiettivo di rilanciare anche il settore turistico e questa, ha sottolineato il ministro Brambilla, "e' un'opportunità per i momenti di bassa stagione, per uscire dal grande flusso turistico concentrato solo nei periodi estivi".
"E' un progetto opportuno - ha aggiunto la Brambilla - perchè i viaggi d'istruzione con destinazione all'estero avevano superato quelli in Italia. Il viaggio è sempre un arricchimento e un modo di conoscere il mondo, però, nell'ambito dei 150 anni dell'Unità d'Italia, le gite scolastiche devono riscoprire i luoghi che hanno fatto la storia del nostro Paese".
Nelle scelte degli itinerari le scuole potranno avvalersi delle proposte indicate dai due ministeri o individuare autonomamente la destinazione del viaggio. Gli istituti interessati dovranno registrarsi al sito www.daimilleaunmilione.it e presentare le domande a partire dall'11 marzo.
